SUBJECT: SINGING IN MUSICAL STYLE AND PERFECTION OF THE INTERPRETATION

The course focuses on the interpretation of pieces that have made the history of American and Italian musicals.
We start from the analysis of the piece for a physical and expressive performance to be associated with singing, to the refinement of intonation for the execution of pieces with complex melodies.
This musical style requires the development of particular vocal techniques, which will be covered during the course, necessary to be able to play a role in a theatrical context.

METHOD:

The course is presented as a vocal workshop where both the vocal technique and the expressive interpretation are taken care of.

During the lessons, the teacher will address the following points:

  • What is the musical and its origins (from America to Italy)
  • Techniques of melodic and interpretative analysis of the piece
  • Volume management of the voice on stage
  • Solo and group performance
  • Management of emotions
  • Working with a director
  • Prepare for an audition

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

The aim of the course is to develop the skills necessary to analyze a piece, plan its performance and perform it vocally and interpretatively in a manner appropriate to the plot, and to modify the performance to follow the directions of the director.
