Educational Program

Educational Program

The course is based on teaching the basics of acting, through the study of texts.

In the initial phase, the work involves the body by means of physical training, in order to achieve a greater awareness of oneself and one's emotions. These exercises are carried out with the use of music, which stimulates the so-called "sensory".

Subsequently, some Acting techniques are introduced, making use of "Simple Dialogues", analyzing the lines for objectives that translate into Actions to be interpreted.

An Action is the attempt to achieve a goal, or to put it more simply, it is the attempt to achieve something; to deal with a text, it is necessary to highlight the Actions present within it and carry them out in the most authentic way possible. The mere search for the Character or the Emotion leads to an artificial interpretation.
This method, on the other hand, will allow us to fully understand the meaning of the words and the revelations that may derive from them.

Referring to a text by Ivana Chubbuck, we move on to the identification of the actor's inner needs, transposing them into the Character.
The program intensifies with the analysis of more complex texts, of contemporary dramaturgy and taken from various films. Based on the level of the class, simulations of an audition will be organized.

Thanks to the type of work proposed, the student will be able to:

  1. Overcoming one's shyness and one's blocks, acting in the truth of the scene and emotions without being limited by the judgment of others.
  2. Implement the correlations between word and action, body and emotion within a scene.
  3. Be authentic and focused during an Action by eliminating performance anxiety towards the audience that is watching your work.
  4. Activate that kind of concentration that allows you to stay connected with yourself and listen to your partner even in front of an audience or examiners.
  5. Clarify your scenic goals for a given scene.

In-depth sessions dedicated to the study and implementation of techniques, methods and exercises that require an intermediate and advanced level of preparation.
