Not just words, but every sound of human speech can have great strength. The anthroposophical theory of language formation and eurythmy created by Rudolf Steiner teach us first of all to distinguish between vowels and consonants as instruments of artistic expression. Vowels are closely related to feelings and appear more intimate than consonants. The vowels are therefore instruments that more naturally adapt to the expression of lyrical and spiritual themes and intimate experiences, while the consonants sound more dramatic, heavy and earthly. It is as if they imitate the outside world, while the vowels express mainly human feelings. Vowels are the music and painting of human speech; consonants are its plastic strength.

Through the practice of eurythmy the actor will become familiar with a series of different gestures that are connected to different vowels and consonants, with these he will be able to give soul to each sound of the artistic speech.

Eurythmy then guides us through the sounds of human speech and through all the combinations of sounds, teaches us to understand the mutual bond and interactions of these sounds, shows us the infinite variations of each of them, thus transforming our artistic discourse. in the most sensitive membrane on which the infinite subtleties and variations of our psychology vibrate.
